Value and Quaint build stuff. You can pretend it's for xmas if you like but secretly it's to celebrate the coming of the mighty Cthulhu, who will be here shortly to end the world. About time.




Windows and doors. I matched the glass in the Well Wisher window to the double hung one and got rid of the heart. I don't like all that blue glass in game so I've changed it in a few things which I'll upload after this. The handle on the value door is no longer brown. All the build items below are just colours I can use in either my Maxis-y or grungy games and some will play nice with defaults I've posted before.




The grey value door is custom because whilst there is a txtr for a grey door in the game files, it never gets called - there is also a custom grey well wisher window in the rar to match. The Quaint door doesn't match perfectly because there is a txmt that makes the glass bit look sparkly, if you change that txmt it makes the door match the value one but it then loses its handle because the txmt covers the entire bloody door! So nah, I left it as is. It's also mapped a bit funny, there is a fix for this on MTS somewhere but I cannot find it.

I changed the icons for the value door too, they're in the file for the value door if you want to get rid of them.

Column Value



Think I used Anna's off white on the white one, the two customs are iCad's Gravel Pit and Madeira 'cause I wanted them to match some other things.

Column Quaint



Random iCad's Espresso at the end because in the game files there are 6 colours of one thing, 4 of another, 5 of another and these are all supposed to be sets. WHY.

Value Fireplaces




Inexplicably, there are 8 of these so I did them all. I'm pretty sure one of the other fireplaces in game references the log texture in this one so your other fireplace logs will change colour too if you use this.

Quaint Fences



There's a gate to match but I forgot about a pic of that. Changed the colours on the flower boxes and a couple of the flowers so they're all a bit different but still kinda Maxis-y.

Value Gate



I use this all the time but only two colours because the rest suck. CTNutmegger made a nifty fence and gate to match that have no webbing (you can see the original texture inbetween the gates above). I edited those to match the new metal on the value gate - turn it into a recolour instead if you like, I just felt like doing it this way. CTN is fine with others uploading her meshes as long as she gets credit so I'm offering that up too (and thanks to CTN for her generous policy).

Balustrades



These are custom because there are only two textures for the damn thing in game. You will need an EP to use them (doesn't matter which one) as they reference a base game mesh so that they act like a recolour instead of a proper clone. Any problems with them let me know in comments, they've been working fine for me but it's possible there may be a GUID issue as I generated the GUIDs myself.

Quaint Stairs





The grey stairs need the custom "Simple Stair" file in the rar to show up like that as there were 5 side panels but only four stair colours in the game files. The side panel has a texture which didn't show up very well in these pics but it is there.

Value Stairs




No railings because it turned out iCad's Madeira looked good enough, you can get them here.

Both sets of stairs will have the right colours in hood view, if that matters to you.
